what do I need to get started? 

A very basic glucometer. Nothing fancy!

will I have to test my blood sugar every day?

Nope! You can test as little as three days per month and still get the benefits of understanding your own body. BUT! For those who are data-driven (hi, it’s me!) - there’s also no limit to the amount of info you can collect.

do I have to poke my finger to test my blood sugar? 

Yes, my friend, you do. But, not every day (or even every week!). And, we cover strategies to make it as painless as possible. Take it from your fellow needle-phobe: it’s really not that bad.

what if I need help understanding all of this?!
